I have been eyeing the spent flower heads on the Arizona Rosewood (Vaquelinia californica) for a several weeks at least. Today a couple of them finally came in to make a small vase...

Today's vase was made up in a glass for a refreshing afternoon. From one side...

All of these were just ready on Monday, and then I had to wait again. It does seem like a run of bad luck: a strained (sprained?) back all last week, light case of...

Today's vase was kept quite simple in order to avoid overwhelming any of the precious flowers. They went into the smallest of my vases, the little blue handthrown bud vase.

Today's vase was a treat to do, especially as it contains flowers I've not used before. My sister offered me some of her wonderful nasturtiums, and I used quite a few.
